Volkswagen showed off its Cross Coupé concept at Tokyo Motor Show last year, but for the 2012 Geneva Motor Show they’ve unveiled a new take on it; the Cross Coupé TDI Plug-In Hybrid. This one runs on their new transverse matrix architecture and offers a top speed of 130 mph (62 mph in 6.5 seconds) and 302 combined horsepower from two electric motors and the four-cylinder turbo diesel with direct injection, meaning it’ll probably be fun to drive as well.
According to Volkswagen the TDI Plug-In Hybrid will be good for a whopping 130 miles per gallon, 28 of those using the electric motors.
