SEIL Bag

Here’s SEIL Bag, a Red Dot Design Award 2010 winner by Lee Myung Su Design Lab. SEIL stands for Safe Enjoy Interact Light and it’s basically a backpack equipped with an integrated LED display which you can control via a small, wireless remote. Now, this helps you easily interact with people behind you when you bicycle in traffic such as turn left/right, stop and so on. If there’s no turns or stops you want to communicate you can always have it show animated, happy emoticons, of course.

Chris Bigham’s Bike Shelf

I really like Chris Bigham’s Bike Shelf, a solid walnut wood shelf suspended by a solid steel square rod mount able to hold both your bike and whatever else you want to put on top of it. Probably the most elegant wall mount bike storage solutions I’ve seen and I want one!

The Matra MS1 Electric Bike

Matra MS MS1 Electric Bike

This is the MS1 by Matra MS, a brand new electric bicycle hybrid capable of running on both electricity and regular 9-speed pedal power. It’s gifted with a 1kW motor wheel and while running on electricity it tops 45 km/h (about 28mph) and is capabale to take you up to 100 km / 62 miles on one charge.

There’s LED lights in the front and back to keep you safe and there’s an LCD display on the handlebars indicating speed and remaining battery power. Just plug it in and it’ll recharge in 3-6 hours depending on battery, and don’t worry if you need to leave it outside during the night – it sports an electric alarm and you need a magnetic card key to unlock it.

The retail price is estimated to €3,500 ($4,951).
