Matias Tactile Pro 2.0 Keyboard

Matias Tactile Pro 2.0 Keyboard

The Matias Tactile Pro keyboard has been something worth taking a look at if you’re one of those who really liked the feel of the good old IBM keyboards with tactile feedback but still want something that looks a bit more up to date. Matias has updated that keyboard now and the new version is called Tactile Pro 2.0 (ta-taaa!).

Besides featuring a USB 2.0 dock it sports a magic key named Optimize that lets you access often used functions and key-combos in a faster way.

“Based on the legendary Alps keyswitch used in the Apple Extended Keyboard and the original Tactile Pro, the new Matias Mechanical Keyswitch recreates the tactile feedback and force curve of the original Alps design, ensuring maximum performance, greater comfort, and faster typing speeds. You will feel the difference immediately.”

The problem is that the Tactile Pro 2 just isn’t a very good keyboard, as I describe here.
