Been looking for a Windows alternative to Apple’s Time Capsule? Here’s LaCie Wireless Space, set for launch in October 2010. Like Time Capsule it’s a combined wireless router and NAS server (it has the same amounts of network ports as well), making it possible for you to backup your data wirelessly, but also the ability to stream digital contents to UPnP/DLNA-compliant network players and iTunes.
Storage-wise you get to pick between a 1TB (price tag set to about $230) or 2TB model and it comes with three USB ports which you can use for additional external storage. Mac users can still use Apple’s Time Machine, which it supports fully, while Windows users get to use Genie Timeline Software which offers similar backup features.
