Volkswagen presented the Buggy Up! concept car at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. Based on the new Up! city car it’s a new take on the beach buggies that emerged in California during the ’60s. It sports a completely waterproof interior, neoprene covered seats, an iPod-powered infotainment system, 18-inch alloy wheels and a lightweight construction with extensive body reinforcements. To compensate the lack of roof and doors there’s a roll bar behind the two seats.

Oh, and since it’s a proper beach vehicle it sports specially designed floor drains to get rid of water.

There’s no word on wether this car will actually make it to production, but I sure hope so.

Say hi to Lito SORA, the world’s first CVT electric motorcycle. This bobber/street fighter inspired bike sports the world’s first electric seat, allowing you to ride low when going fast and higher when you get into town as well as being the first motorbike to include an integrated touch screen with GPS.

“We have pushed the limits of cutting-edge design to create a bike that respects the environment without ever compromising style, speed or power. Because it’s electric, the SORA is quiet, clean and efficient. It can be charged and/or quick-charged at home. The Sora can also be charged at a level 2 charging station for long-lasting performance and requires next to no maintenance.”

The CVT transmission helps taking the Sora from 0-60 in about four seconds and the top speed is 120 mph. Oh yeah, and it’s keyless and can e-mail you when it’s done charging.

Here’s the Cinco Bike by Sydney-based Ortre, originally a concept bike designed by Alex Liauw. This incredibly practical, urban bike is designed to carry loads while still being easy to ride (just check out those fat little tires). You can hook up either a wooden deck or a sturdy basket big enough to carry an airline carry-on case in the back.

There’ll be a simpler, single-speed model available in the future but this first one sports nine-speed.

“The Cinco bicycle by ORTRE is purpose built for the baggage of an everyday cyclist. Some people swear by backpacks, some prefer dedicated racks with panniers, and of course there is the ubiquitous messenger bag. However the team at Sydney-based ORTRE asked themselves “Why cant we just take a normal bag cycling? Why do we need a specific cycling bag?” The answer of course is the bike.

There’s no price tag on it yet, but it’ll be shown on the Taipei Cycle Show March 16th to 19th.

I love these original skateboard decks dubbed Death from outer space by Australian Syke Crew and Gedemin Peel. Would hurt a little to boardslide those graphics away.

Chrysler launched the limited edition Call of Duty Black Ops-themed Jeep Wrangler today (Jeep is one of Call of Duty’s official partners). There’s no actual changes done to the engine, just visual ones, but the Rubicon-based CoD-Jeep sports a black paint job, Call of Duty: Black Ops graphics on the roof and front quarter panels, mineral gray dark alloy wheels with 32" off-road tires, Mopar taillamp guards, live axles and a two-speed transfer case.

So, the game Call of Duty: Black Ops will be launched November 9th, if you want the perfect car to go along with the game (the car itself is feaured in the game, as well) you’ll have to shell out $30,625 for the two-door model or $33,500 for the four-door.

Here’s International, a foldable (well, deconstructable in a really clever way) bicycle that won “Best Ride” in the 2010 Wallpaper Design Award, and man, does it look good or what? These one-off bikes are designed and hand-built by US/Japanese Kinfolk (actually by 71-year old master frame builder Shuichi Kusaka), painted by Coat and the custom bag is designed by Nivaldo de Lima. They don’t come cheap though, expect a price tag of about $3,800 to $3,900 depending on if you want the bag with it or not.

It’s been 25 years since the launch of the first Lexus and they celebrate that with the limited edition 2012 LFA. This beauty starts at $375,000 but then you get a 4.8L V10 engine with 552 horsepower and a top speed of 202 mph which will take you from 0-60mph in 3.6 seconds. Oh, and the chassi and bodywork features advanced Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic to help it become lightweight, powerful and balanced. Man, just look at the lines of this thing.

Beginning December 2010 Lexus will begin building these beauties by hand in Toyota City, Japan and they’ll build 20 cars each month until they reach a maximum of 500 vehicles.

Here’s the all-new Volvo V60, the sports wagon version of the new S60. Man, I really like the looks of that santing, coupé-like roofline and aggressive front. Puts a little bit of cool back in wagons.

Volvo will be offering the V60 with eight different engines, including a new 2.0L direct-injected with about 203HP and 221 lb-ft of torque and one with a turbo 3.0L T6 with 304 horsepower and 324 lb-ft of torque. Other than that there’s Advanced Stability Control, a 12-speaker Dolby Digital sound system (with a 7" display) and the new auto brake system that’ll help you avoid crashes in up to 20 mph.

Land Rover unveiled their newest model, the Range Rover Evoque at Kensington Palace in London. It’s based on the LRX concept shown in 2008 and it’s a luxury, two-doored SUV. It’ll be available as both two- and four wheel drive and according to Land Rover it’s designed to be light and fuel efficient. This coupe will be presented to the public at the Paris Motor Show (sep 30 2010) and will go on sale in the fall of 2011 (in the states).
