The 17" model is gone now and they offer three different models - two with 20" and one with 24".

Here’s the first ad for the updated iMac:

Yeah. Pretty boring, but you gotta admit that the machines look good.

“This microscope provides you an easy way to zoom in on a wide variety of objects to satisfy your curiosity of the world around you. Ever wondered what lint looks like or the mold growing on your week-old bagels? Now you can find out.”

iPhone opened and dissected

iPhoned dissected

Oh yeah, it was just a matter of time, wasn’t it? The guys over at AnandTech has already opened up their $600 iPhone and dissected it, making sure to photograph every delicate piece removed of course.

Warning: Doing something like this might eventually cause Apple not to refund your phone. Everyone can’t be as lucky as the guy who - after not even owning his iPhone for 24 hours - dropped his iPhone and broke its screen (yeah, Apple gave him a new one).

Floater: Vertical MacBook Pro Dock

Saturday, June 30th, 2007
Floater Vertical MacBook Pro Dock

Floater is a vertical MacBook Pro dock milled out of one chunk of aluminum to make it blend with the laptop as much as possible, besides saving space on your desk it’s designed to help the airflow and cool your ‘puter down (those MacBooks can get quite hot, mind you).

Silicon pads make sure the laptop sits safe and comfortably while making sure you’re not scratching anything and there’s drilled holes for all cables.

Check out the price before getting your hopes up though, 305 bucks. Expensive aluminum indeed.

LaCie 2 TeraByte Ethernet Big Disk

LaCie 2TB Ethernet Big Disk

LaCie 2TB Ethernet Big Disk is, despite the name, actually quite small. Hook this up on your network and you’ll have 2 whopping terabytes of storage (about 2000 gigabytes) for all your P2P and torrent document backup needs. There’s a way cheaper 1TB model available as well, but that would never be enough now, would it?

Other than the impressive storage capabilities it’s fully Windows, Mac and Linux compatible and can stream multimedia content to UPnP-compatible devices.

(Man, I remember saving money an entire summer to buy a 300 MB HDD once)
