Microsoft Reclusa: Gaming Keyboard

Thursday, May 10th, 2007

Microsoft Reclusa

Here’s Microsoft / Razer Reclusa, a pitch-black keyboard designed specifically for gaming. Among the features we find Razer Hyperesponse Gaming Key Action put in place to reduce the dreadful key latency, blue LED backlit keys for late night sessions, two 360° jog-dials, six programmable gaming hot keys, gold-plated USB ports and a detachable and padded wrist rest.

I4U did a full review of the Reclusa and found it pretty appealing (7.5/10), while reporting on some issues - could be worth a read if you’re about to buy one.

Gameboy XP PC

If you had an old Gameboy you didn’t know what to do with, what would you do? You’d rip it apart and cram it with all the parts necessary for a fully functional PC running Windows XP of course. While the original display is MIA it does feature a VGA port for a monitor, two USB ports, one Ethernet port for happy networking and the A and B buttons has been gifted with LEDs indicating power and activity status.

EA Boogie: Kinda like Singstar for Wii

Monday, May 7th, 2007

EA Boogie Wii

IGN got to spend a little time with EA’s upcoming Nintendo Wii title Boogie - a party game focusing on both syncing your nunchuk and Wii remote to sequences of dance moves and singing using the USB-connected microphone shipped with the game. And yeah, you’ll score depending on how well you sing like in Karaoke Revolution and Singstar.

There’s no set release date yet but rumors say sometime near christmas.

The guy who created the Zelda Wii case mod has done it again and this time on a Nintendo DS Lite. This one-of-a-kind Zelda DS features a rotating metal diecast master sword and shield crest, white backlightning and a custom charge stand.

It’s currently up for grabs on eBay (15% of the profits will go to charity), and the current bid is $610.00.

Guy playing 2 mins of Super Mario Bros with eyes closed

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

The guy in the video above plays the first two minutes of Super Mario Bros with his eyes closed and his back turned. If this isn’t proof of humankind truly being a divine species I don’t know what is (OK, if he’d played the most annoying Super Mario mod ever he’d get a few extra points).

So what do you think, are we dealing with plain old-fashioned cheating here (mirror on the NES controller?) or is he just gifted with a pretty useless superpower?

Gun for Nintendo Wii with rubber grip

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007
Piranha Wii Gun

Okay, the picture sucks but what you’re looking at is a mass-produced light gun for Nintendo Wii featuring a rubber grip and “realistic trigger” looking like it can cause a lot of violent joy. Babelfish wouldn’t let me translate much of the Dutch product page but I guess more info and pictures will emerge soon enough. The price is estimated to $27.
