The New Microsoft SideWinder Mouse

Thursday, August 23rd, 2007
New Microsoft SideWinder Mouse

Microsoft is reviving the SideWinder series with a brand new 5-button mouse designed for serious gamers. Among the features we find software customization for each game you play, buttons to change the current DPI setting (400, 800 and 2000) along with a built-in LCD display to show which setting you’re using at the moment, a wide metal scroll wheel, a weight compartment so you can find the perfect weight (from 5 to 30 grams in 5 gram increments) and three sets of feet in different materials for that perfect friction.

Frag on.

Dude gets huge Nintendo arm tattoo

Samuel Mullins NES arm tattoo

As far as gaming tattoos goes they’re often either ridiculous or just poorly done. However, Samuel Mullins decided to honour Nintendo with a 3/4 arm tattoo just because his faithful NES saved his childhood from boredom and the end result is actually pretty impressing.

Mario, Goombas, Koopa Troopas, Lakitu, Piranha Plants and Bowser, they’re all there. That’s some serious tattoo work.

NES Phone

Who needs an iPhone when you can do like this guy and cram a Motorola SLVR into an old NES controller. Impressive indeed, but that hamburger hat of his tops pretty much anything.

“I don’t need an iPhone, but that hasn’t stopped me from spending the week tempted to go buy one. In order to bolster my resolve to have enough money for school, I opted instead to retrofit my existing cellular phone, a fourteen-month-old Motorola SLVR, with a new case, a twenty-one year-old NES controller.”

Nintendo Wii Crystal Cooler (with fan)

Tuesday, May 15th, 2007

Wii Crystal Cooler

The Wii Crystal Cooler looks like a pretty cheap way to both pimp your Wii (debatable) and cool it down at the same time. For a mere $19 you get a new stand packing a high velocity fan working hard to reduce the console’s temperature (and supposedly prolonging its life) and a bright blue LED light with an on/off switch.

Both the fan and LED light is powered by one of the Wii’s USB ports so no need for weird wiring or batteries.
