Samsung Yepp YP-P2

The Samsung Yepp YP-P2 isn’t official just yet, but both images and tech specs has leaked to the oh-so-useful intarnets and by the looks of it we might just have something really cool launched from Samsung soon.

According to reliable sources the YP-P2 has armed itself with MP3/VMV/WMA/H.264 and ASF playback, 8GB of Flash storage, a 3" touch-screen display, Bluetooth connectivity as well as a built-in speaker (and microphone).

Looking good Samsung, looking good!

Dual Music Player

This is the DMP (Dual Music Player), a hybrid CD / MP3 player concept designed by South Korean product design student Yong-Seong Kim. It probably won’t like playing CD’s while in your pocket, but it sure does look pretty cool.

SwimMan: Waterproofed iPod Shuffles

Sunday, August 5th, 2007
SwimMan Waterproof iPod Shuffle

SwimMan has been creating waterproofed audio tech for a decade now (apparently) and their latest product is a waterproof (and genuine) iPod Shuffle. The magic is done inside the Shuffle so there’s no visible differences between these and regular ones.

These modified Shuffles will cost you a little extra, naturally. SwimMan wants $250 for the kit with a Shuffle + waterproof headphones or $150 for just the Shuffle (in comparison to the $79 Apple wants for a generic don’t-drop-it-in-the-water-please Shuffle).

Monster iEZClick iPod Remote Control

Monster iEZClick is a rugged, weather-resistant iPod remote control designed for outdoor use. The RF transmissions allows the signal to go through clothes (and thin walls), so just clip it on your jacket, belt or handlebar and you should be all set. The buttons are deliberatly oversized for easy no-look track switching while wearing gloves and/or speeding down mountain trails.

Datawrite Nitro MP4 Player

Datawrite Nitro MP4 Music Video Player

Datawrite Nitro MP4 Player looks pretty interesting. The 4GB model costs $100 and for that you get a device capable of playing music (MP3/WMA/WAV), video (converted to MP4) and FM-radio while featuring games, document viewing, voice recording, built-in speakers and a 2" display. It might just be worth investigating after all.

(And there’s a 2GB model for GBP 50 / US $70 as well)

Monster iFreeplay iPod Shuffle Headphones

While being cordless, light and foldable the Monster iFreeplay headphones sports an integrated iPod Shuffle dock. Perhaps not as street-fashionable as the WESC headphones, but an interesting alternative for gym / morning run headphones.
