Here’s Samsung NX100, Samsung’s smallest mirrorless interchangeable camera sporting 14.6 megapixels and something they call i-Function Lens, designed to help even beginners navigate easily through professional settings and parameters like ISO, shutter speed and aperture in an intuitive way. The i-Scene mode allows the camera to automatically detect what type of lens has been attached and suggests which kind of scene a particular lens is good for.

There’s a 3" AMOLED display on the back and a whole range of optional accessories (you might want a flash on that baby) available as well. If black’s not your thing the NX100 is available in white and brown too.

Oh man, I remember buying a Panasonic DMC-LX2 just for the old-school look of it, but Olympus PEN E-P1 gives me an even stronger crave. Olympus launched the original half-frame film PEN in 1959 and now this light-weight little device with interchangeable lens is available in a modern, digital form.

Besides the striking looks you get 12.3 megapixels, TruePic V image processing engine to provide high quality stills (equivalent to traditional SLR’s according to Olympus, but you know), 3 inch display, level gauge to help you shoot straight horizons, HDMI output, stereo audio recording and the possibility to record 720p HD movies. Software-wise you get face detection, automatic shadow adjustment and manual focus assistance.

The PEN will start selling in July 2009, no word on pricing though.

Instead of just joining the megapixel wars Ricoh just announced the CX1, a compact and robust digital camera offering quite a set of nice features while just having 9 megapixels.

So, you’re getting a 1/2.3″ type CMOS sensor with a 7.1x optical zoom lens, a hi-speed 120 frames(!) per second fast shot mode (limited to VGA though) and a mode called Dynamic Range Double Shot Mode allowing you to take two shots at different exposures which are then blended together. Other than that you can have it take up to seven shots with different focus, allowing you to pick the best one later.

The CX1 will be in stores from March 13th with a £300 price tag (about $430).

Here’s LG KU990 Viewty, LG’s successor to the Chocolate and Shine phones. This 3G device offers a 5 megapixel camera with image stabilizer, auto and manual focus, ISO 800 and SmartLight, high speed video recording (120 frames/sec) and a 3" full touch sensitive display.

Other features include Youtube integration, TV-out, DivX support, EDGE/HSDPA 3.6, FM-radio, Bluetooth and support for MicroSD cards.

Here’s Samsung G800, the world’s first cell phone to sport a 5 megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom and Xenon flash (the smaller G600 also sports 5 MP though).

That being the main feature it also feature 3G/HSDPA, a VGA-camera for video conversations, a 2.4" QVGA display, RDS-radio, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth connectivity, Ice Power digital amplifier from Bang & Olufssen and blog support. As for storage you get to pick between microSD and microSDHC memory cards.

The G800 will be available in November to an estimated price of 590 Euro (about US$850).

The Vivitar ViviCam 6200w is a 6 megapixel digital camera waterproof down to 30 feet (about 9 meters). With that being the main attraction it sports a rubber encasing, a 2" TFT-LCD display, 16 MB built-in memory (with support for SD cards up to 2 GB), 4x digital zoom, video recording and a flash.

Sony Ericsson unveiled the new truffle brown and Cyber-shot-stamped cellphone K770 in London today, aiming to land somewhere between the K550 and K810 in functionality and price.

Among the features we find a 14.5 mm thin waist, 3.2 megapixel camera, LED photo light, MP3/AAC/media player, FM-tuner, Bluetooth, GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900/UMTS 2100 and a 1.9" display.

It ships with a 256 Mb Memory Stick Micro and will be available at select markets sometime during fall 2007.

Hitachi will launch the world’s first Blu-ray camcorders in Japan this August. They’re dubbed DZ-BD7H and DZ-BD70 and they’re both capable of recording one full hour of sweet, high-def footage (mmm… 1920×1080…) directly to Blu-ray discs for later viewing using any compatible Blu-ray player.
