The Glow Brick is a solid brick of acrylic resin with a real lightbulb trapped inside of it. The bulb is filled with pigments that charges by daylight and then emits a nice, warm glow (created by photoluminescence) at night.
“The mysterious optical effect is caused by light diffracting in the tiny space between the glass of the light bulb and the resin - this space forms when the resin shrinks by a tiny amount during the production process.”
The Glow Bricks are available in blue and green and measures 3.3" x 3.3" x 5".

This candle holder is named “Kerzenhaltding”, and when I translated that using Babelfish I got “Candle stop thing”. It’s not one of those fake, electric candles, it’s just a quite clever candle holder for unused wall sockets. Design by the German design trio Ding 3000.

If you’ve been looking for a glass table sporting a sumo wrestler in fighting stance, look no further. Here’s Basho (that’s Japanese for ‘tournament’) and this 38 lbs sumo guy seems to hold up the 27" glass top just fine.

This stunning lamp is called Troja Arc, a product by the German design duo hanzandfranz. Just slide the lit part and get your very own arc of light.
There’s no word on availability or price (but it won the German Design Report special mention award 2007), so let’s assume it’s either extremely expensive or only exists in a few examples.
