The summer is finally here so I’m taking a couple of weeks off, heading down south to do… well, absolutely nothing at all. Hopefully.
So, I hope you’re able to follow my example and enjoy the analog world out there for a while, if not you could always check out some of last week’s posts:
Cheers!

Here’s a quick round-up of some of last week’s posts:
Nixon Superhero SS is a watch featuring both analog and digital displays pre-programmed with 15 years of tide data for 200 beaches all over the world (just like the cheaper Lodown Ti). Press a button and the digital display lights up, press it again and the watch goes back to plain analog mode. Other than it features custom tide settings, chronograph, countdown timer, light, moon phase and alarm.

Nixon gave the surfers the Lo-Down Ti, a watch that comes pre-programmed with tide chart data from all over the world. The skaters get The Score, a retro-looking watch with 3-hand Japanese quartz movement that features two counter wheels at the bottom. The left one spells S-K-A-T-E and the right one goes from 0-9. Now, if you’re a skater you can use the S-K-A-T-E spelling to count tricks you pull off just as in the Tony Hawk games, if not you can just keep it at “S” to remind you which day it is (and it’d be right two days out of seven). Really, who cares – it looks awesome.
It’s encased in polycarbonate, waterproof down to a 100 feet and the band is made in stainless steel for the gold version and polyurethane for the metal one (The Score Pu).

Nixon’s Lodown Ti is a watch designed with the surfer in mind. Besides the appealing design and the inverted LCD display it features pre-programmed tide chart data for 200 beaches for the next 15 years(!), wave counter, dual time for the ones surfing in different time-zones, alarm, countdown timer, chrono and light.
The titanium case is waterproof down to 100 meters and the display is protected by hardened mineral crystal.

Nixon’s Diamond Rotolog is a sweet piece of retro-styled bling. 764 white diamonds and 1,087 black ones form a neat skull pattern (that’s a total of 9.25 carats). The case is made in stainless steel, the movement is Japanese Quartz and it features a bright LED to help you see the time during the wee hours.
For those of us who prefer less bling the original Rotolog featuring walnut wood instead of diamonds is worth a closer look. No skulls on that one though.
